Erika Acosta, MS, LMHC, is a psychotherapist, life coach and yoga instructor, licensed by the Florida Board of Clinical Social Work, Marriage, & Family Therapy and Mental Health Counseling. She has developed a holistic therapeutic process, blending Cognitive Behavioral Therapy with Mindfulness and Yoga Therapy – a modern, integrative approach combining Western knowledge with Eastern studies helping others reprogram self-sabotaging behaviors with self-awareness and healthier habits, while incorporating mindfulness and yoga theory and practices. Erika completed her Master’s in Psychology in Miami in Florida International University and her 200-hour International Yoga Teacher Certification in India.
Erika prefers "breaking the 4 walls" and holding a safe space in outdoor spaces, such a park, the beach, and even floating on the ocean while doing paddleboard yoga therapy. Her connection with nature allows her to use the outdoors as playground to connect with you, while educating you on coping skills, grounding techniques, meditation - discussing nutrition, yoga philosophy, yoga therapy poses. All while collaboratively brainstorming with you how to replace your undesired and impulsive behaviors with problem solving abilities and more rewarding choices.
